Jefferson Airplane, live from California State University, May 19th 1967

Iconic psychedelic rockers, Jefferson Airplane take you back to the Summer of Love. This recording features the bands Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo concert on 19 May 1967 and was broadcast live by KLIV-FM. This was a pivotal year for the band, with the release of two seminal acid rock albums, Surrealistic Pillow (February 1967) and After Bathing At Baxter's (November 1967).

Jefferson Airplane also played at the Monterey Pop Festival on 17 June 1967. The bands rise was meteoric, from Bay area darlings to counter cultural icons in just two short years. As the only band to play the 'big three' rock festivals (Monterey, Woodstock, 16 August 1969 and the ill-fated Altamont Speedway Free Concert, 6 December 1969), Jefferson Airplane's status as rock legends is forever assured.

So, turn on, tune in, and drop out to the sounds of the mighty Airplane!
