Tom Waits finally made his commercial breakthrough with the release of Small Change in the Fall of 1976. Thereafter he assembled a band and toured widely.
This superb live set dates from shortly after the release of Foreign Affairs in September 1977 and features material from it and its predecessor, as well as earlier classics.
Performed at a new 850-seat venue in Boston and broadcast on WBCN-FM, it captures him at his best, in superb fidelity, and is presented here with background notes and images.
