Youngbloods live at Pepperland, San Rafael, California in January 1971
Formed by Jesse Colin Young in 1965, the Youngbloods were one of America's quintessential hippie bands. Reduced to a trio by the end of the 1960s, they continued to plough their own hybrid of psychedelic folk and country-rock to a devoted fanbase in the new decade.
This superb live set was broadcast on KSAN-FM on the weekend of 22nd/23rd January 1971, and finds them tackling material by Fred Neil, Tim Rose and Dino Valenti as well as many of their own classics.
It's presented here together with background notes and images.
