Before the big hitters of Manic Monday, Eternal Flame and numerous others, Los Angeles' coolest rockers had only just begun to shape the future of pop music alongside The Go-Go's with IRS chief Miles Copeland.

In 1983, they were taking their debut album nationwide, armed with two hit singles, self-belief and determination. Over the next four years, they would become one of the biggest selling bands on the planet with lead singer Susanna Hoffs becoming America's hottest sex symbol.
