The early 80s found Herbie Hancock experimenting with disco and pop in the studio but on stage he continued to turn out stunning jazz performances, often featuring his 20 year-old protege Wynton Marsalis on trumpet.
This remarkable set on the American Live Concert Series, Soundstage, also includes the talents of his long-time collaborator Buster Williams on bass and the legendary Tony Williams on drums.
