With a series of albums in the 1980s, Steve Tibbetts rose to prominence as one of the most eclectic and unclassifiable guitarists, combining elements of rock, jazz, folk, and world music.

Broadcast on KFAI-FM, this performance was performed live at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis on December 19, 1987. Accompanying Tibbetts at this show were percussionist Marc Anderson and bassist Bob Hughes, both of whom were important contributors to his 1980s recordings.
