Etta James live at the Chicago Blues Festival, Grant Park on 7th June 1985

Etta James needs no introduction to lovers of soul, blues and R&B. Her long career began way back in the 1950s and she was a legend by the age of 21. Thereafter she experimented with funk and rock and toured with the Rolling Stones in 1978, but sank into drug addiction and alcoholism.

Originally broadcast on WXRT-FM, this superb set captures her on terrific form, performing a selection of her best-loved songs in front of a delighted crowd and is presented here together with background notes and images.
