By early 1974 the Eagles were poised for commercial take-off, having added Don Felder to their ranks and recorded the On The Border album, which was released in March. That month they also appeared on the syndicated US TV music variety show Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, joined by guest stars Linda Ronstadt and Jackson Browne.
