Gary U.S. Bonds live from Trax, New York on 19th January 1980

In the early 1980s, Gary Levone Anderson (aka Gary U.S. Bonds) had career resurgence with two albums Dedication and On the Line. Collaborations with Bruce Springsteen, Steven Van Zandt, and the E Street Band had also given him a comeback hit in 1981 with This Little Girl while Dedication received wide acclaim as 'one of the most successful comeback albums in rock & roll history' Bonds' legacy would also reach far beyond the blue collar rock of the Boss with David Johansen of 70s punk upstarts the New York Dolls claiming Bonds as a significant influence on his own career.

Gary U.S. Bonds' appearance at New York's Trax club in 1980 is a solid testament to the profound respect and admiration given to Bonds and his own tireless work as an iconic performer.
