On December 31st 1978, Bill Graham's legendary Winterland in closed with an epic all-night performance by the Grateful Dead. Opening the bill were the Blues Brothers, led by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi, backed by the cream of America's R&B musicians.
Telecast live in front of a rapturous audience on KQED Public Television and simulcast on KSAN-FM radio, the music is infectious and the show has been described as the best the band ever gave.
