The Rolling Stones, live on BBC Radio, 1963-1964

In view of the past increase of interest in rhythm & blues groups in Britain, an exceptionally good future is predicted for us by many people Brian Jones wrote to the BBC in January 1963. His audition request was turned down, but they'd soon changed their mind and between that autumn and the summer of 1965, the Stones recorded numerous radio sessions for the Beeb.

This, the first of three volumes, captures them between their debut 45 and their first album, by which time they'd become a nationwide phenomenon.

Containing some of the most vital British R&B ever recorded, it's essential for serious Stones fans and comes together with background notes and images.
